Yes, you can now purchase my comics at Etsy! Visit my shop here.

You can purchase Jetpack Shark Volume One and Blacked OUT #1 for three dollars a piece. I’ll probably doodle on the back of your purchases, just so you know. Visit the store, and pick up your comics now! And then, I’ll personally mail them to you! Whoa!

I’ve added a link to the shop at the top of the website, too.

Jetpack Shark reviewed by the Comics Alliance!

Check out this! I know, I know, I’m way behind on the updates on the site, but Jetpack Shark got reviewed by Chris Sims of the Comics Alliance! I meet him at Fluke, and much to my surprise, he included it in his Fluke report where Jetpack Shark got included in his top 5 mini comics of the show! Which was awesome and super flattering, and totally made my week.

Read his review of the show, along with the Jetpack Shark review, here. You can also check out more of Chris’s writings at his personal blog.

Fluke and Stumptown Comics Fest bound!

FLUKE is right around the corner, so for anyone in the Athens area, come to my table and get your hands on the first issue of Blacked OUT and Jetpack Shark Volume One. You can get them for three dollars a piece! A total deal, and I’ll sign them and doodle something on them for you like a jetpack shark cowboy. So, if you’re at FLUKE look for the Jetpack Shark  banner, and you’ll find me AND comics to enjoy and possibly purchase!

Blacked OUT #1 and Jetpack Shark Volume One: Three dollars a piece!

And, right after FLUKE, I’ll be headed out to the Portland area to peddle my comics to people on the west coast! So, stop by, say hey, and check out the comics. AND to celebrate the Blacked OUT’s first issue, I’ll give you a new preview of the insides (check out the earlier post for the first four pages)!

Also, I’ve added a new page to the website: Illustrations! I’ve posted six drawings over there, so enjoy those. I’ll be adding more drawings and removing some that I’m less proud of as that area of the website gets more illustrations added to it. Mostly, brush illustrations, but there’s a bunch of quill drawings that I’ll be scanning and posting soon.

And lastly, I’ll be researching options for a store, so that those of you unable to get to Athens on the 21st for FLUKE or get to Stumptown Comics Fest on the 28th and 29th will be able to purchase these comics from me directly or somewhere else on the internet!

Jetpack Shark… reviewed!

I know it’s been awhile, but I’ve been busy crafting various comics and illustrations, especially with an impending graduation on the horizon. But, I’m proud to say that my Jetpack Shark mini comic got reviewed recently by three great mini comic review sites, and the mini sold pretty well at MegaCon in Orlando, which was a blast. But, let’s get into it!

The first review was done by Justin over at Thirteen Minutes. He does a lot of great reviews of all sorts of comics, and you can tell that he’s certainly well versed in the world of comics. The Jetpack Shark mini was reviewed by Justin over at The Poopsheet Foundation (which is a great stomping grounds for all things mini comics), and you can check out his review here: Poopsheet review.

The second review was done over at Optical Sloth, which is another great site for mini comic reviews and a great way to expose yourself to some new creators and comics out there. So, check out the Jetpack Shark review.

The third review was by Rob Clough over at High-Low. He’s got a lot of informative reviews on all sorts of mini comics, and the thing that I really enjoy is that he often groups several similar comics in his review posts, which makes for some fun comparisons and gives you other similar thematic works to look at. Read the Jetpack Shark review over there!

So, I’m thrilled to have been reviewed, and I gotta say, it makes me more excited to get the next mini comic out there. Blacked OUT issue 1 is almost complete, and I’ll have an announcement about that soon. I’ll also be looking into getting a place to sell my mini comics on the internet, perhaps Etsy, so for those of you that want the mini comic, but are unable to get to Portland or Athens, can purchase them directly from myself.

In the next week or two, I’ll be adding an illustration section to the website with a whole bunch of new images. More stuff soon!
